The Last Word with Angela Bryant
Rocky Mount native Angela Bryant is a local attorney, advocate, community leader and member of the N.C. House of Representatives for District 7, Nash and Halifax Counties.
Something many people don't know about me: I collect political buttons from campaigns, protests, civil rights marches, movement organizations, community celebrations, etc.
The food I could eat everyday: Real oatmeal with raisins.
If I could do it all over again: If I could do college again - I would be a computer scientist or engineer; If I could be in my 20's & 30' again - I would have focused more on marriage and children.
My passion is: Politics, social justice.
The most important thing I ever lost: A sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet that was given to me.
My best friend says I am: Loyal and steadfast; fun to be with.
Favorite piece of clothing in my closet: My winter camisoles and pants liners and my jogging suits.
Words I live by: "All things work together for good for those who love the Lord and live according to his purpose."
I wish I'd known: That we are born with all the eggs that we will ever have.
I am most proud of: My friendship and caregiving relationship with my mother.
What keeps me awake at night: Whoever I forget to thank or appreciate at a political event.
I still can't get the hang of: Recording from the tv to the dvd; swimming strokes that require breathing and turning my head.
The world would be a better place: If people would let go of the defense of "color blindness" when racial differences come up, and instead be willing to delve into the complexity of recognizing, appreciating, understanding, and utilizing racial and other cultural differences.
I'd like to learn: To swim well and play golf.
Last major purchase: XM radio as a gift for someone else.
